The Organizing Committee of the First East African Regional Conference on Safe Communities (EARSCC 2014) is pleased to announce Air Uganda as its first corporate sponsor.
EARSCC 2014, organized by the PeerCorps Trust Fund and the East African Safe Communities Network in collaboration with the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre on Community Safety Promotion, is the first international conference to focus on community safety in the region. The conference, which will take place in Arusha, Tanzania November 19-21, 2014, will focus on youth safety, traffic safety, violence prevention and safety in the workplace.
The conference arrives at a time when preventable injuries are a leading cause of death and long-term disability throughout the region. Injuries also place heavy burdens on healthcare systems and have important economic and social costs to families and society at large.
Air Uganda distinguishes itself through its firm commitment to safety in all its operations and systems. The company has a long track record in the area of safety. The airline received the IATA Operational Safety Audit Certification (IOSA) in 2012 and it was renewed for two more years in 2013. The IOSA Certification confirms Air Uganda’s commitment to safety. This assurance continues to give the Airline more opportunities to cooperate with other airlines, which benefits all customers. Air Uganda operates scheduled flight service to and from Entebbe, Nairobi, Mombasa, Kigali, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Mogadishu and Juba.
